Tempura Bananas

Ingredients:

  • Bananas
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 150 g Tempura
  • 250–300 ml cold sparkling water
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving
  • Vanilla or other sauce of your choice for serving

Instructions:

  1. Place the tempura batter mix in a bowl and add cold sparkling water. Mix well (the batter should be fairly thin).
  2. Refrigerate the batter briefly.
  3. Cut the bananas into small pieces.
  4. Heat oil in a saucepan or deep frying pan.
  5. Dip the banana pieces into the tempura batter and fry in hot oil for a short time (30–60 seconds) until golden.
  6. Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and your favorite sweet sauce.
